Privacy Policy

Context Menu Enterprise ("the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that adds productivity tools to the right-click context menu. This policy explains what data the extension and the contextmenuenterprise.com website collect and how it is used.
The extension developer does not collect, store, or have access to any personal data generated through your use of the extension. All data either stays on your device or is transmitted directly to third-party services you configure.
1. The Extension
Data stored locally on your device
- Quick Search engine configurations
- Response Repo snippets
- Autolinker rules
- Context AI prompt templates and API provider selection
- Note Clipper target configurations (service names, page IDs, webhook URLs)
- Lookups configurations
- Team Config URL (if configured)
- API keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, or Notion
- Pro subscription status
None of this data is transmitted to or accessible by the extension developer.
Data sent to third-party services
When you use certain features, data is transmitted directly to the third-party service involved — never through Context Menu Enterprise servers, which do not exist.
ExtPay and Stripe (Pro subscription). ExtPay collects your email address; Stripe processes payment. The extension developer does not receive or store your email address, credit card number, or any payment information.
OpenAI, Anthropic, or a custom AI endpoint (Context AI). Text you highlight is sent to the AI provider you configured, with your selected prompt, using your API key. The extension developer does not see this data.
Notion, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or a custom webhook (Note Clipper). Selected content is sent to your configured destination. With "Include Source" enabled, the page URL and tab title are included. The extension developer does not see this data.
User-defined Team Config URL. The extension fetches your configured JSON file every 4 hours. No user data is sent beyond a standard HTTP request (which may include your IP address as seen by the hosting server).
Pages you configure in Quick Search and Lookups. Searches and lookups fetch the pages you configure, using your own browser session. The extension developer does not see these pages or their contents.
Data the extension accesses but does not transmit
- Clipboard contents — read when you trigger a clipboard-based action, used only to execute it.
- Page content — content scripts for Autolinker run on pages you visit to apply your linking rules, entirely locally. Nothing is transmitted to any server.
Data the extension does not collect
The extension does not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or any telemetry. The developer has no visibility into how, when, or how often you use the extension.
2. The Website (contextmenuenterprise.com)
When you visit the website, standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and visit timing. This information is used solely to understand website traffic and is not linked to individual users.
3. Third-Party Links
The extension and website may reference third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices — review their policies before sharing personal information.
4. Data Retention
Data stored locally by the extension remains on your device until you uninstall the extension or clear its storage. Data held by third-party services follows their own retention policies.
5. Your Rights
All users may delete locally stored extension data by clearing storage in Chrome settings or uninstalling the extension.
European residents (GDPR) have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, plus data portability and objection rights. Contact ExtPay directly for ExtPay account data, or email support@contextmenuenterprise.com for anything else.
California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as features change; the "Last updated" date will be refreshed accordingly. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
